The Power of the Outdoors:

Veteran Resilience and Family Connection

Veterans and military families face unique stressors tied to service, transition, reintegration, and maintaining connection during periods of change. Outdoor recreation programs have emerged as a powerful platform for strengthening relationships, improving well-being, and rebuilding the sense of belonging that many service members and families lose after leaving the military.

This webinar brings together national leaders; including Outward Bound, Blue Star Families & Huts for Vets, to explore how nature-based programming can support not just the veteran, but the entire family unit. These organizations will share program models and strategies that leverage outdoor experiences to improve communication, reinforce trust, reduce stress, and build lasting family resilience.
